How to Play Bingo

The set up of the Bingo card is very important to learn in order to understand the game of Bingo. Each card consists of five columns, each one labeled with one of the letters of the word Bingo, and five rows. In the center of every card is a free space while all the other 24 boxes are printed with one of 75 numbers. The columns are labeled because it is easier to identify the numbers that are being called.

  1. Buy a Bingo card(s) with 24 different numbered squares on it.
  2. Random numbers are called (typically, numbered balls drawn from a machine)
  3. If the number called is on your card, cross it off.
  4. The first player to cross off a specified pattern (straight line, box, t-shape) shouts out BINGO and is the winner.
